CAT Recommendations: Country-Specific

The Committee against Torture (CAT) makes country specific recommendations in the form of concluding observations issued following the consideration of the State parties report submitted in accordance with Article 19 of the Convention against Torture.

The Committee against Torture convenes twice yearly for sessions of four weeks’ duration, normally in May and November at the United Nations Office in Geneva. A table of sessions, which provides access to relevant documents, including the periodic reports submitted by the State parties, list of issues, shadow reports and concluding observations can be accessed on the CAT website, available here.
